Archive Planner
- one step archive planning and data analysis

Max S.C. uses the Baan Enterprise Performance Manager (EIS) to assess data and plan archiving
in Baan. The program consists of 45 - 50 indicator scripts, which calculate about 150 archive
indicators (exact number depends on Baan version). The scripts can be executed separately or in
one run.  Please find information and links to examples for the results of the analysis below:

The Archive Planner :

- generates a forecast of the data that is eligible for archiving per year by checking on data
status and  dependencies between archive sessions and data (e.g. a purchase order is
processed, but it might belong to a project, might be a subcontracting order or it hasn't
been matched to a supplier invoice in finance yet); Example ..

- evaluates the pre-conditions for more than 50 archive, delete and correction sessions, and
generates lists with records, which still need some work (e.g. open sales orders, projects not
closed, supplier invoices with balances, errors in inventory history, etc.); Example ..

- generates the sequence of sessions and correction activities that have to be executed per
archive year, based on the specific data in a Baan company; Example ..

- gives information about the dependencies of sessions and activities to be executed, specific
to system and data; Example ..

- can be used to generate lists of data that might have to be reviewed before archiving is done,
(e.g. list of product variants or engineering revisions that are eligible for archiving; )

- generates information about non-standard tables on the system, which tables contain data
that will be archived or deleted and the sessions in which these tables are used; Example ..

- can be easily modified to evaluate and include customized sessions;

- presents the results in comprehensive form in an Excel spreadsheet to give a good overview

- has links to a word document with explanations for each step
